The Red Box Project
The Red Box Project, founded in 2017 in Portsmouth, is a not-for-profit initiative that aims to provide all school girls with free sanitary products.

They work by accepting donations of sanitary towels and tampons from members of the community, and use these to fill red boxes that are then placed in primary and secondary schools for the girls to use and take home. The boxes also contain spare underwear and small bags to put the products in so it appears more discreet.

How to Help
If you attend or know of a school that doesn't have a Red Box set up in it, you can co-ordinate one yourself! To do this, you should email: newvolunteers.rbp@gmail.com and The Red Box Project will send you the information you need.

The Red Box Project currently accept donations of sanitary pads and tampons (that must be well before their expiry date) and new, still packaged underwear.

They do not currently accept re-usable products e.g. mooncups as the products available to young girls should be what they know and are comfortable with rather than a product that requires some more education before use.
